Can I ask you a question? Are men's natures usually so upsetting when put on display? No one seems very happy or grateful about them.

That is beyond my ability to guess. One always prefers to believe that one is virtuous.

It stands to reason; virtue is proclaimed by one's actions toward others, not by one's words concerning the self.
