They are hints; and unclear as they are, we should be grateful for the knowing.

It does one no harm, and indeed may do much good, to sometimes contemplate one's faults. To turn away is pitiful.

To turn away is nothing short of vanity in the highest. But, alas, the tree holds before us a cracked and clouded mirror in which to reflect.
