getsomesleep: (Alas poor fools)

While the extended nap of some days ago was certainly refreshing, I cannot consider it ample compensation for recent days' complete inability to sleep at all. This manner of deprivation is unusually cruel and utterly unacceptable. I do not comprehend why we stand for it. I must

I must recommend that others avoid my company until this outrage is past. Small dragons especially.

It's nice to see that you're awake, but not that awake. Have you been to Wellspring? Maybe they can help somehow.

I assure you that that was my first thought. They have done an admirable job of shrugging their shoulders at me.

It must still be the Sphere, then... at least you're awake while you're writing.

Krile--would you mind taking Fuu for a couple of days? Just let him out in the sun on occasion. Figure he'd like to meet Nova again, and it might ease someone's mind on this end of the islands.

Yeah, no problem! I'd hate for him to end up with a shoe-shaped dent in his head.

I'm starting to think there's an actual risk of that.

Thanks, Krile.

I'm going to come out and suggest a swift blow to the head any time now.

In the meantime, I'll just send said small dragon over to Krile until this is over, how's that?

/pity

Please do. Or else I may pass said swift blow to the head on.

[Next time Hawk sees Huo, he's so getting the "I love you like a brother, but you lay a finger on my dragon and there'll be hell to pay" look. And yes, that is a specific look.]

And if you need me, I'll just be on the roof.

[He won't lay a finger. He'll throw things.]

A fine vantage point from which to watch me walk into trees.

If I didn't fear that happening, I'd have found somewhere else to wait this out by now.

[Oh look, that's the plain truth right there.]

Rénxiōng is exceedingly kind, as always. You have my permission to laugh at the lighter collisions.

If it gets too bad, please go to Wellspring.

Also, I don't believe I have been informed that small dragons have taken to reading.

Wellspring has proven about as much use as a book to a small dragon, except that I could not chew on it for what seems to be pure spite.

[OOC: Should be I think? ^^]

If it's a Tree-related condition, Wellspring can't usually cure you, true. Lessening effects of this outrage, on the other hand, is more doable.

Else I can only offer books or games to help pass time.

[Worse comes to worst we have straitjackets for people with uncontrollable urge to abuse pets and behave like an ass to friends.]

I am not sure what you mean by lessening the effects. Sleep is, as you might say, a binary state.

[He's not that bad! - err, yet.]

I disagree with the latter, but discussions are better held when neither party have spinning headaches—which is among the effects I meant. There are options to help you rest while waiting it out, or if you prefer I do home visit to going to the clinic, I wouldn't object.

Have you tried jogging?

Of course. What is more natural than a jog when one's head spins with exhaustion?

Paltry half-measures. If you were truly diligent, you would exercise when you were asleep, as well.

Paltry nothing! When I sleep it is because my body needs rest, and it then prepares for more training the next day!

Or perhaps because you have not yet trained yourself out of the habit of sleep.

Only if you count the amount of hours you spend with your eyes closed, sleeping, which takes no effort. If you are speaking of effort, then I am certain I have trained harder than you at what I do.

I do wish my brother would be so good as to consider practicing this exalted craft in more normal-sized chunks. Unless this is some kind of advanced technique the uninitiated aren't privy to.
